I've also looked for the NoOST option with no success - doesn't seem to exist with outlook 2010.Īnyone have any idea's on how I can get Cache mode turned on?Īt this point, I'm very close to just formatting and installing Office 2010 WITHOUT the Admin file. When I do, as soon as I load outlook it always resets it back to 04 10 00 00 One being in the following location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software \Microsoft \Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\Outlook \dde8d87e8 e2f3146957 9e0aceaef7 bc1 I've even gone as far as making registry edits that I found on google. I've updated the Group Policy to allow everyone to change the cache mode to on or off.

I'm trying to turn cache mode on, but it's greyed out. You might want to post in the Outlook forum.

You might want to use the Resultant Set of Policy tool on the affected workstation to see if one is in effect. Then click the Next button in the following Change Account dialog box to. Then a Microsoft Outlook dialog box pops up, please click the OK button. For disable the Cached mode, please uncheck the Use Cached Exchange Mode box 3). I believe this is where the problem is coming in. The only reason I know of why the setting would be grayed out would be because of an existing group policy setting. For enable the Cached mode, please check the Use Cached Exchange Mode box 2). If you have got Cached Exchange Mode disabled for some reason, you can enable it via File-> Info-> Account Settings-> Account Settings Double click your Exchange account and select the option: Use Cached Exchange Mode. The check box for the setting should not contain a check mark unless the user has explicitly chosen to use Cached Exchange Mode.

We have an ADMIN install setup and originally it was configured with an Admin.MSP file to disable Cached Mode. In other words, the setting should appear as black text in Outlook, rather than being greyed out.
